We live in a day and age where lives are busy and schedules are swamped.  The working day is also a little more versatile than it has been in days past, and people are working longer hours or irregular shifts.  This can put a damper on your love life, but this should not discourage you from enjoying you and your partner no matter what time of day it is.  

Romance is not just for evenings anymore, and here we have a list of 25 things you can do during the day, or during the evening that will help ensure you make the most of every second with your lover.

Make a date in a tree house, cabin or playhouse. Caves are also romantic. Bring music, wine, and erotic literature to read to each other while you hide away from the rest of the world.

Make a plan to watch sunsets from scenic locations. One sunset may be close to home and the next further. You could turn this into an ongoing project.

Find a last minute deal online for plane tickets and a hotel and jet off for a weekend getaway to somewhere warm and sunny with only 24 hours notice. 

Each of you should board the plane with the clothes you are wearing, a bathing suit, a toothbrush and sunscreen. 

Keep your agenda simple: Drink cool drinks, naps, lazy swims and walks on the beach. The spontaneity of your trip and your freedom from excess baggage will give your relationship a surefire injection of romance and adventure.

Host a dinner for two without any utensils. Instead feed each other with your fingers. You might want to eat a meal of your favorite finger foods or try something absurd like a fondue feast. 

Prepare a platter of vegetables, roast meats and, chunks of crispy bread dipping them into melted cheese or sauce. For dessert slice some fruit, cake, meringues and dip them into chocolate. Experiment with different foods and see just how sexy food can be. 

Keep a large wet cloth handy for any accidents.

Yummy Chilli Chocolate Sauce!

Cheat’s Chilli Chocolate Sauce for Steak

Unless he’s a vegetarian, I’ve never met a man who doesn’t love his steak, and this sauce is guaranteed to make him love it (and YOU) more! 

If he is vegetarian, this sauce goes surprisingly well over steamed asparagus or large grilled brown mushrooms.... 

This is the easiest CHEAT recipe ever.

Simply heat up your desired portion of Montez Play Chocolate sauce on a double boiler (that’s a pot, on top of a pot, that has boiling water in it. You do this so the chocolate sauce doesn’t burn).

If you are unsure how to use a double boiler... MICROWAVE! Just make sure you do 30 seconds at a time, checking and stirring the chocolate each time until desired temperature achieved.

Add half a teaspoon of chilli powder for a jar of sauce. Stir and pour over cooked steak.

You’re done.

Franjelico Chocolate Pancakes

I have never heard anything but good things about this recipe. If you don’t want to use the alcohol, then orange juice will add an interesting flavour twist.

Ingredients:

·         Buy pack of 20 ready-made pancakes from Woollies (you’ll find them in the frozen section). Shhh! No one will guess you didn’t slave for hours!

·         Montez Play Chocolate Sauce

·         Half cup of Franjelico or Orange Juice

·         250ml Butter (chopped into pieces)

·         Cream for Serving (whipped)

Method

Pre-heat oven to 180 C. Take each pancake and spread liberally with Montez Play Chocolate Sauce.  Fold into triangles... That's once in half down the middle and once in half down the middle again. Then arrange in a baking dish. Make sure you Spray-And-Cook it first!

Cook off the Franjelico by adding it into a scalding hot sauce pan and letting it sizzle until you can’t smell the strong alcohol steam anymore. Add the butter and melt down. Pour this mixture over your pancakes. Bake off for 15 minutes and serve with whipped cream.

This will serve about 8 people so if you’d like to make it just a special meal for two, layer out four spread pancakes and use just a shot of liqueur and 60 ml butter. 

Keep the rest of the pancakes in the freezer for next time, there WILL be a next time!

Start by undressing each other - stripping to your undies or to a completely naked canvas. Using chocolate, whipped cream and a paintbrush or your fingers, indulge in your inner artist and paint all over your beloved. 

Take some photos for your private portfolio - just remember that any photos posted are there FOREVER and will be used against you. 

Once you have created your masterpieces there are several options of how to clean off your canvases. You can both hop into a steamy shower or you can simply feast on your creation.

Get moonstruck in your own garden, park or beach depending on the season sip either champagne, sherry, hot chocolate, eat sexy food - oysters, strawberries, cherries, chocolate. 

Bring some tunes especially moon tunes - ' Moonlight Serenade, Moon Dance or Fly me to the Moon' to name a few. 

Dance and take a moment to howl at the moon - in duet.

Sometimes the most romantic moments are the result of thoughtful gestures in the middle of a mundane day. 

Spend the day helping your partner take care of necessary errands, particularly the ones they really don't enjoy doing. Wash the car, go to the hardware store, attend to the shopping, dry cleaning. Once you've finished celebrate by taking your partner to lunch or dinner at a place that they've always wanted to try. 

Remembering the other's interest and curiosities is another great way to be romantic. 

So we come to the end of the month of love and I will now go back to a far more reasonable weekly post! I will continue to give you more romantic ideas.

Romantic Date 24 - Be a kid again

Plan a date where the two of you get to be kids again. 

Go to a playground and push each other on the swings and merry-go-round. Climb the jungle gym, play hopscotch, jump rope or walk using stilts. get a big pad of paper and crayons and draw each other. 

Trade stories about your childhood: What were your favourite toys, which teachers did you like best and what kind of trouble did you get into. Pack your favourite childhood snacks. My personal favourite is -Flings and Fizzers!

If you've been together for a while relive your first date by revisiting the same places you first went together. 

Talk about how your romance has blossomed since then and what attracted you to each other on that first date. 

If you're in a new relationship start a diary - keep movie stubs etc. Record highlights. Use it when you have forgotten. Be careful you aren't considered a stalker. 

Romantic Date 19 - Strawberries and Cream

Build a date around a piece of fruit. 

Go apple picking, drink cider and bake a pie with your bounty. 

Attend a grape crush at a vineyard. Carve pumpkins together. Make fresh lemonade and sip them from a tall glass on the patio. 

Pick strawberries (there is a farm around Johannesburg where you can do this but I couldn't find the details, so please let me know) and eat them with pancakes or sugar or cream. 

Romantic Date 15 - Hold On!

Have a date that's all about holding hands as much as possible - you may even notice other people smiling at how romantic a gesture this is. 

Go for a walk, stroll along the beach or track through a museum. 

Back home give each other hand massages and then wrap your hands in hot towels sprinkled with lavender or lemon juice or smother them with a rich moisturizer. Massage each other's hands until the moisturizer disappears and you're simply left holding each other's hands.

Next time raindrops fall, grab your partner for a spontaneous barefoot run through the wet grass and a long kiss in the rain. 

Or on a hot summer day make a mad dash through the sprinkler holding hands. If you have a private yard do it in the buff!

Romantic Date 12 - Love Potion

Gather a stash of your favourite drink ingredients and spend an evening mixing, tasting and perfecting your own signature cocktail. It doesn't have to have alcohol in it. 

It can be a smoothie or energy drink. Have plenty of ice, clean cocktail glasses, bar towels, and extras like lemon and limes on hand. 

Make toasts, sentimental and funny - to each other. Next time you're at your favourite bar teach the bartender to make your signature drink so he'll know what to make when you say - 'Our usual please!'

Message in a Bottle

Grab an empty wine bottle and head for the beach at dusk.

Take a warm blanket and a thermos of tea (or tequila) and then write a message or poem describing you and your partner. Also include a good luck message for whoever finds the bottle. You might want to add an email address so the finder can let you know where the bottle has finally washed up. 

If you are no where near a beach repeat the process - write a note to each other, read it and then place inside the bottle. Break it open and read when you need to or on a special anniversary.

Something to talk about.

We are always rushing off to do something and never really take the time to talk to each other. 

Now is the time - once a week once every two weeks or once a month it really is important. 

So set up a time just to talk - walk in the park, sit in the garden or curl up on the couch and TALK. Ban all talk about the children, sport, work or TV. 

So what is left you may ask? Talk about your relationship and life. Talk about what you like about each other, what you do well together and things you would like to do in the future. As you get more intimate you may want to share sexual fantasies that you were always to shy to talk about (Just remember the 3 drawer rule - read about it on the Lola Montez Web site). And don't forget to really listen.
